Coming up in 2020: A new version of the Me-Mag

A new version of The Maritime Economist (ME-MAG) will be launched in 2020.

ME-MAG aims to create an active platform for merging academic studies with practice. It encourages IAME members to express their studies in plain language in line with the interests of policymakers and practitioners in the maritime industry. Also, it encourages experts in the maritime industry to share knowledge and experiences about emerging topics, challenging issues, and rising problems.

The term of the editorial team will be two years and the first term (starting from 1 January 2020) will be hosted in St. John’s College of the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, MB, Canada). The editorial team consists of:

Editor-in-Chief (EIC)

Adolf K.Y. NG (University of Manitoba, Canada)

Co-Editors

  • Dong YANG (HK Polytechnic University, HK)
  • Yui-yip (Joseph) LAU (HK Polytechnic University, HK)
  • Mawuli AFENYO (University of Manitoba, Canada)
  • Roozbeh PANAHI (University of Manitoba, Canada)
  • Ziaul Haque MUNIM (University of South-Eastern Norway, Norway)

Administrative Editor

  • Yufeng LIN (University of Manitoba, Canada)

A new feature is that there will be no specific issues and articles will be available online once being approved. Thus, it will be easy for contributors to submit materials at their convenience without worrying deadlines. The ME-MAG webpage will be hosted by the IAME website and appear in webpage format and other forms of social media.

Submission details will be announced with the official launching of the new version of the ME-MAG in January 2020.
