#IAME2019: Abstract submission extends to December 7th, 2018

A total of 330 abstracts have been submitted on time for the IAME2019 Conference, to be held in Athens, Greece, from 25th to 28th June 2019.

Due to popular demand, the abstract submission deadline is extended to December 7th 2018.

Scholars interested in presenting their study at the IAME2019 Conference are invited to submit their abstracts visiting the IAME2019 conference website.

Special issues in Thematic Areas & Publishing for ‘Juniors’

The IAME2019 Conference will feature a number of Special Sessions, organised by key experts in their areas of research, with the intention of providing new perspectives on current issues and challenges faced in the maritime sector.

Contributions submitted for presentation in the conference Special Sessions should be in line with the general submission guidelinesof the conference.

Authors wishing to submit their contribution/s for presentation in a Special Session are kindly requested to fill in the respective field when submitting their abstract/s on IAME2019/Conference submission portal

Authors who have already submitted an abstract can edit their submission by specifying a Special Session of their interest in the relevant field of the submission form.

Special Volumes in Academic Journals

Full papers submitted for review in the IAME2019 Conference are eligible, if accepted, for publication in Special volumes of Academic Journals. It is expected that 4 to 5 academic journals will publish special thematic volumes from selected papers presented at the Conference.

Please note that each journal has different requirements for publication so, in some cases, further edits or a new review process will have to be completed before publication.

Conference Social Events

The IAME2019 conference will host a series of social and cultural events, aiming to enhance network opportunities between participants and offer them the opportunity to experience the culture of the host country. They include:

  • Private guided tour at the Acropolis Museum and Reception at its terrace overlooking Ancient Athens, Acropolis and the Parthenon
  • Reception in the gardens of Aikaterini Laskaridis foundation and its museum overlooking Pasalimani, Piraeus.
  • Coctail reception at Liberty Hellas Ship Museum, one of the two remaining ships of its kind worldwide
  • Gala night at the Yacht Club of Greece, overlooking the Attica plain, with wonderful views of Mikrolimano, the Athens Riviera, Salamis and the Saronic Gulf and its islands.
