The International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME) membership year runs from 1 July to 30 June of the following year. Since the 2023/2024 cycle, the membership period has been fully standardised for all members.

This communication serves as the first renewal notice for the membership period from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.

Who needs to renew?

If your IAME membership expires during 2026—for example, if you are currently a member who registered for the Bergen Conference last year by paying the non-member fee, or if your multi-annual membership ends later in 2026—you will need to renew your membership.

Renewal Options

Members whose membership expires in 2026 have two renewal options:

  1. Renew during conference registration
Register for the IAME 2026 Conference by paying the non-member conference fee and renew your membership at the same time. This option includes both the conference registration fee and one year of IAME membership valid until 30 June 2027.
  2. Renew membership online
Renew your membership directly via the IAME website in the coming weeks:
    https://www.iame.ac/membership/
Multi-annual membership options are also available online.

Important: Membership renewal is required to benefit from the discounted conference fee for members. If you select the members-only rate during conference registration, your status as a paid-up member through 30 June 2027 will be verified.

If you are unsure about your current membership status, please log in to your membership profile on the IAME website or contact the IAME Secretariat at:

Preferential Membership Rates

Please note that preferential rates are available for:

  • Students
  • Emeritus members
  • Corporate memberships (from a minimum of five members per institution)

We strongly encourage members to review their membership status in advance to ensure uninterrupted access to IAME benefits and conference discounts.
